PARKING
If you park the camper van inside the city,
note that there is parking restrictions.
Sometimes there is free parking for a period of time and then you must use this device.
Here you put the start time of parking.
If you have to pay, best way to do it is to install the app ”PARKMAN” and pay with that.

There is basically no public transport system in Rovaniemi.
Taxi is the best option if you move around without the camper van.

WHEN YOU DROP OFF THE CAR
Cleaning fee in the rental price includes washing and change of bed linen and towels.
Interior of the car after rental is your responsibility since soon after you is another client coming.
- Clean the car inside from stains, dust, sand and garbage.
- On camping areas and on many gas stations you can use a vacuum cleaner.
Tokens for the vacuum cleaner can be purchased inside the station. They cost around 3 eur. - Empty the toilet cassette on your campsite and flush with fresh water.
- Clean the toilet seat with wet napkins since running water from shower cannot be used.
See that there is no spots or other visible marks.
Plastic gloves you can find in the lower drawer in kitchen.
There is also a bottle of cleaning spray. - Remove used cardboard sheets from the floor and replace with new.
You can find them under the bed behind rear doors. - They protect the floor from dirt when walking inside with shoes.
In the evening you can move them aside.
When you take off shoes, it is more pleasant when no sand or dirt on the floor.
Washing outwards might be useless because roads are wet, and dirt is flying around anyway.
If gaskets get wet after washing, it might be difficult to open the doors later.
WHEN USING THE CAR.
Keep the diesel heater on constantly 24H and see that there is enough diesel fuel in the tank.
Keep the electrical step always clean from sand, snow and dirt because when something ends in the mechanism,- it stops to work properly.
There is a small brush for that.
Actually better if not use the electric step on the side of the van at all. When snow has gathered around it, using it is difficult.
You might be able to open it but closing is impossible and when you start car engine, there is constant alarm sound.
Use the step that is inside of the van instead.
Remember that there are many reindeers in the area and they very often run in front of you
from the forest and try to get across the road.
Often they just stay put and don´t move away from cars.
Drive carefully and keep your eyes open.
Before you start driving after parking, see that doors are closed everywhere, ventilation hatches are closed
and nothing is moving or flying around when the car is moving or in curves.
About Finnish alcohol law I can say that you only can buy spirits or + 8% alcohol in dedicated shops (ALKO).
Low alcohol products (up to 8%) you can buy in all shops.
If you buy alcohol in Santa Park restaurant (like Glühwein) , you can not take it out.
It must be consumed in the restaurant.
To go around this rule, you can prepare your drinks in thermos before you enter the area.
Alko shops are open Mon-Sat to 21.00.
Sunday closed.
Alko shops you can find in KAUPPAKESKUS REVONTULI and K-CITYMARKET ROVANIEMI.
These shopping centres are also best places to buy food and they have nice restaurants.
If you stay over night on Bast Park Arctic or in Santa Village, there is good buffet lunch on Shell gas station just nearby.
Another good place to eat is inside Prisma mall in the center. There is PIZZA BUFFA restaurant.
Also with buffet lunch + pizzabuffet.
